INGREDIENTS
1/2 tsp avocado, grapeseed, or other good cooking oil
1 large (or 2 small) cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 tsp fresh ginger, minced (or 1/2 tsp of ginger paste - this stuff is an amazing time and life saver!)
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp (or 10 tbsp) brown sugar
1 lbs ground beef
3-6 scallions, chopped - you might just want a garnish, but we like a lot of these on our plates!
Sesame seeds for garnish
DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet, cook ground beef until no longer pink, and just starting to brown. Drain if necessary.
Meanwhile, in a small sauce pan, saute garlic and ginger for 1-2 minutes. Add soy sauce, water, and brown sugar and bring to an easy boil. Lightly boil or simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow the sugar to dissolve and the sauce to thicken slightly.
Pour sauce over the ground beef and allow another 2 minutes to simmer and soak into the meat. Mix throughly and serve with rice, scallions, sesame seeds, and broccoli... or try these Asian-Style Green Beans.
With citrus water, you don't actually use the whole fruit to make the juice. electric juicer
ReplyDeleteWow, cool post. I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real hard work to make a great article... but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though. Fox Farm Nutrients
